New Kitchenware Collection in Development

I've been working on a set of pieces that are designed to sit together: a fruit bowl, a smaller bowl, a butter dish and a utensil holder. A behind the scenes on a new porcelain collection. The pieces are made, the glazes are planned and now it's just a matter of waiting to see what comes out of the kiln.

I tested unglazed porcelain with everyday substances like turmeric, red wine and coffee to see what stains and what washes out in the dishwasher.

One of the great things about working with clay is that it can be recycled. Quite a lot of what I make ends up going back into the recycle bucket, especially while I’m still developing and refining my casting process as well as making test pieces for new products. I only want to keep the best pieces but because slip can be reused again and again, nothing is actually wasted.
